Dewa Nyoman Batuan (1939- ; Pengosekan, Gianyar, Bali) studied painting under I Gusti Ketut Kobot (born in 1917). In 1970 he established the Pengosekan Community of Artists, known for its paintings of nature. Batuan's works have geometric compositions filled with images from Balinese religion.
