Born in 1942, Makassar, Ujung Pandang (South Sulawesi) studied briefly at the Akademi Seni Lukis Indonesia (ASLI, Art Academy of Indonesia) in Makassar (Ujung Pandang), South Sulawesi. His paintings are colorful and lyrical expressions of nature with deep, philosophical meaningss. he also writes contemporary Indonesian poetry and short stories.
