Born in Penestanan, Ubud, 1943. He was the pupil of Arie Smit in the Young Artist, 1960. At first, he was a farmer son who helped his father on the paddy field. Sinteg's works has its own character, different from his fellow pupils. With bright colours, he illustrates Balinese daily life. His canvas is frequently illustrating landscape in vertical format. In one his paintings, there are several scenes featuring settings of various area from kaja to kelod. His composition is a refined one.
His works are the iconic work for Young Artist group, together with the works of I Ketut Tagen and I Ketut Soki. Therefore, several oof his works are collected by numerous important museums, including Neka Museum (Ubud) and Arma Museum (Ubud). His works that is displayed in Museum Puri Lukisan was a gift from another museum in Netherlands. Sinteg has been exhibited several times in Europe. His works once were displayed in East-West centre, Honolulu-Hawaii in 1988.
Sinteg has several pupils, among them I Wayan KAler who possessed a unique signature style. His style obviously influenced by the works of I Made Amoh or I Ketut Mawa from Sayan. His daughter, Ni Wayan Mawarwati, also paints within his style. In early 2000, he has started "Sinteg Bungalow" in Katik Lantang, Penestanan.
