Punduh was born in Batuan, 1923. Started to paint under the guidance of his brother, I Nyoman Ngendon, at the age of 15. Since Ngendon death (shot by Nica soldiers), Punduh continued his learning to I Wayan Taweg for two years since 1949. Punduh works are collected by various European art collectors. Scene of Balinese daily life illustrating the peasants and their cattles was drawn in soft colours with bold lines presenting Punduh's confidence. All of those colours are soften with grey.
