This Ubud style painter drew some attention due to his specific objects of various animals on paddy field. Those animals were cows, birds, frogs, snakes, cricket and others. And all of the figures drawn in dynamic visualization through subtle yet lyrical in lines and colour. Gedot was born in 1920 in Pengosekan-Ubud and died in 2000. He once learned painting from Rudolf Bonnet whwn he joined Pita Maha in 1930 and Golongan Pelukis Ubud in 1956. His works had been exhibited inn Bali, various cities in Indonesia and overseas. Besides of being collected by important collectors, his works are displayed in Museum Puri Lukisan, Neka Museum, ARMA Museum and Bentara Budaya JAkarta. He also had the prominent Ubud painter, I Ketut Gelgel, as son in law.
