About Artist Nasjah Djamin
Nasjah Djamin (1924-1997; Deli, North Sumatra) studied from Indonesian artists Sindutomo Sudjojono (1913-1986), Affandi (1907-1990), and Sudarso (born in 1914). He also was an award winning novelist and poet. Djamin's lyrical works have a shoft, delicate appearance with gentle renditions of figures and landscapes. Award: Piagam Anugerah Seni (Indonesia, 1970). Exhibitions: Taman Ismail Marzuki (Jakarta, Indonesia, 1979), Centre for Strategic and International Studies (Jakarta, 1996).
